Get a
KO and Rule the World! |
What's so great about KO? Well in my not-so-humble
opinion, its the best radio on the market for RC cars.

KO Modules Galore
One of the best things about the Helios is the
flexibility. I have one radio and run all of my cars
with it just by changing out the module and selecting
one of the 9 memory positions which remember all of my
trims and setup information. There are several different
modules for the EX-10 Helios. If you
run a Mini-Z you will want the 27MHz AM Mini-Z Module,
which can also be used for the Micro-T, the Mini-T,
RC18T and any other 27MHz AM RC car or truck. If you are
running the Pan Car class, which allows the use of the
Adband board, you pop in the
Adband module. For a 1:18th or larger cars where you
have the option to upgrade to FM you simply purchase the
FM Module. For the ultimate in performance, range, and
glitch free operation, you can move up to the
Spectrum Module.
KO AD Band Mini-Z Conversion Set
So what's with the
Mini-Z AD Band Conversion Set? It is a direct
replacement board for the Mini-Z MR-01, MR-02 or AWD
with a compatible module for the EX-10 Helios. With the
AD Band system, all communication between the radio and
the board are

Cristian's Corner |

This
month I'd like to tell you guys about our newest charger! The
Lacrosse Alpha Power Charger.
We first found out about this charger through Mr. Michael
Feinstein, our team driver Jacob's father and pit crew. He
showed it to me and I was very impressed so I went to Rob
to tell him we needed to stock these. Rob leaned on his contacts
in the Chinese black market, and after a close call with a one
eyed midget named Bernie and a midnight meeting in a dark alley
somewhere Shanghai, we got our hands on them. Sorry about the
BS, but I need to fill some space here so Rob doesn't take my
corner away.
If you are serious about racing and don't like to
wait, you should invest in 2 or three of these for your track
bag. When Rob and I go race, we have 6 chargers between us so we
always have hot cells.
What's so exciting about this charger is

Why's Rob
Smiling? |
|

Why am I smiling? First because
I've got some new toys to play with. After banging my head
against the proverbial wall trying to get Windows Movie Maker to
do what I want, I decided it was time to invest in some real
software. So we picked up
Adobe Production Studio Premium which will give us a lot
more creative freedom with our video production. Look for our
videos to have more bling, more zing and more wiz bang. Now I
just have to learn how to

Kyosho
Mini-Z Cup Cancelled
As many of you now know, Team AtomicMods was
supposed to go to Acapulco to compete in the
Kyosho Mini-Z World Cup, but unfortunately it got postponed
due to low entries. So while we sit here pouting about not
getting to go play in the Mexican sun and sip
Pina
Coladas by the beach, we still get to play with and race R/C
cars for a living, so I guess we'll get over it. In the
meantime, we will continue honing our racing skills in
preparation for the next race, whatever it may be.
Not much else is going on in the racing
world right now, but on a good note, we are getting our own test
track soon. As the race season slows down for a bit, we
spend more time on R&D, working on our team cars' set-ups
looking for the ultimate setups for each class.

John's Rectangle |
|
 |
I got tired of Cristian's trash talk about having
his own corner and all. So I busted out and snapped up a
rectangle, which is far superior geometrically speaking. I mean
what good is a corner anyway; it only has two sides so you can't
store anything in it. You can't sit on it; about all you can do
is put Cristian in it and now that I've put
Cristian in his corner/place, lets get down to business. It's my
job to manage the inventory, which includes bringing in new
stuff so I'll take some time to brief you on a few of the latest
items.
I can't count how many inquiries we've had about NASCAR-style
Mini-Zs.
We
passed your inquires along to Kyosho, and Voila we have a Mini-Z
NASCAR! They will be shipping soon. Be sure to
pre-order one today!
Speaking of NASCAR, I've added the new
RCP Wide Oval Track along with other RCP expansion packs.
Now you can recreate Kevin Harvick #29 and Carl Edwards #99
trading paint around the oval.If you are racing, you will need a timing
system, so grab the glitch free
Giro-Z system to time and organize your races. We plan to
use this in our own test track, so once we get it set up, we will
take some photos and post more info about it.
In the next week or so, I'll be adding some
Pro-Pulse hop-ups,
brand new Mini-Zs, and many other great products. Stay tuned!
