The evolution motors represent the latest in 130 size motor technology. The list of improvements is long, and the most notable improvement is the new brush system borrowed from larger scale motors. This makes the evolution motors more efficient, faster and more durable than anything else out there.

  • Requires:Minimum is 2X1 of 3010 FETs, even though a 2x2 is recommended. If using lithium, a V2 is even better.
  • Application Notes:
    To be able to run this motor in your XMODs vehicles you will need to rotate the brushes 180 degrees. To do this, you must remove the springs on the end bell and pull out the brushes. Then you need to simply flip the brushes around 180 degrees and re-install them along with the springs.

    This must be done since XMODs need motors that spin in opposite direction in relationship to Mini-Z's. All Atomic and PN Racing motors are wired for Mini-Z's. Evolution motors have brushes that advance the timing of the motor when spinning counter-clockwise (like Mini-Z's), so when they are installed in an XMOD, the brushes do the opposite and retard the timing which makes them run poorly and hot. Also, don't forget to switch your positive and negative leads on the motors to get it to spin in the correct direction (or simply install the black wire on the positive output and the red on the negative).

This Motor Excellent, I Run It With Billet Suspension, knuckles, rear motor case, dog bones, ceramic bearings and perfect shaft. I love doesn't get hot at all and i can run my li-po 2s pack dead lol very nice!! if you can billet wheels do it because you can brake the plastic one with this lol believe me. dont need a v2 but could use one

you dont need to flip the brushes to run this in an xmod all you need to do is put the positive wire where the negative output goes and vice versa.

i put this motor in my mustang and i had soft tires my car didnt hook up till halfway down the hall. two days later i clipped the corner of a wall and my chassis was in two instantly i can wait to get lipos for it
