We get a lot of calls from Mini-Z customers who think their car is defective because it doesn't go straight, has no reverse, makes a buzzing noise or doesn't turn enough.
This is a simple fix if you know about the secret compartment with magical adjustment knobs. The location of these mystical knobs was previously known only to the "Brotherhood of the Magical Knobs" who are sworn to protect this secret with their lives. We ran across one of the brothers in the hotel lounge at a hair gel convention and after getting him drunk on Fuzzy Navels were able to extract the location of the sacred knobs...

Secret Compartment
Look around and make sure nobody is watching you. If you see a bald guy in a brown robe, best move to another location lest he cut your throat to protect the secret.
Once you are sure the coast is clear, slide open the secret compartment to gain access the magical control knobs.
Steering Dual Rates
On top of the steering wheel we find the Steering Trim Knob.
Steering Trim centers your steering. If your car veers left, move it a bit to the right, if it veers right, go left.
Steering Trim
Inside the secret compartment we find two knobs: Throttle Trim (TH. Trim) & Steering Dual Rate (ST. D/R).
Steering Dual Rate adjusts how far your wheels move when you turn the steering wheel on the radio. Adjusting this dial allows you to fine tune your steering travel.
Throttle Trim
If the TH. Trim knob is not adjusted correctly, the car can have problems reversing and can buzz. If too far forward it will "coast" too much and seem like it wants to run away. Too far back and it will brake abruptly.
Play with it until you find the "center" of the throttle, where it allows you to have reverse, forward and break without acting erratically.
Throttle Throw
Finally we have the throttle throw adjustment. The "A" position is centered giving you the same amount of throw both directions. In the "B" position, you will get more throttle than brake.
Make sure that if you do switch the position of your throttle, you adjust your Throttle Trim accordingly and find the "center" of the board again, as it will change.
Notes:
While they are simple, these adjustments can solve all kinds of problems. If you still have problems, try running your car in a different location, as there could be some strange interference in your immediate location. If this does not do the trick, drop us a line and we will try to help.
